Welcome to Business Class Table Tennis, the ultimate destination for business professionals looking to unwind and have some competitive fun..

Our focus is on bringing together like-minded business people to enjoy social table tennis, but our leagues have become a hotbed of friendly competition. The Business Class League is now one of the most exciting events on the business calendar!


Throughout the year, we host several 6-week leagues where businesses can enter teams of two players to battle it out for the coveted Business Class Cup/Shield. We've even introduced multiple grades to accommodate the growing number of participants, and who knows, we may even have three grades soon!


If you and your colleagues want to inject some excitement into your week, look no further than Business Class Table Tennis. Business Class Wellington matches will be played at the Wellington Table Tennis Stadium, Alexander Rd. Mt. Victoria Newtown. The stadium will be open from 7:00 pm each Tuesday night. Competition matches are due to start at 7:30 pm. Players should register with the duty officer by 7:25 pm, and the score sheets will be available from the control table.

Waikato venue:

Business Class Waikato matches will be played at the Waikato Table Tennis Stadium, Edgecumbe Park, Hamilton. The stadium will be open from 6:00 pm each Tuesday night. Competition matches are due to start at 6:30 pm. Players should register with the duty officer by 6:25 pm, and the score sheets will be available from the control table.

Teams

Teams must consist of two players from the same business, or if freelancers, they can play under one business name.

Teams with three or four players can be submitted with any two players playing each week. It is up to the business to ensure two players turn up each week in such cases.

Format

Teams will play 1 contest each week, consisting of 5 matches; two singles for each player and one doubles for the team. Matches will be best of 5 games to 11 points.

Ball

The Stag/Joola/Yasaka Plastic 3 star white ball will be the official ball. Balls will be provided.

Points

The following points system will be used

2 points for a win + matches won 

0 Points for a loss + matches won

Fees:

Wellington Fees $115 Incl GST per team is to be paid before the competition starts.

Waikato Fees $110 incl GST per team is to be paid before the competition starts.
