Business Class Table Tennis-Waikato round 1 commenced last night. The competition is a short 6 -week fun, friendly and social competition comprising of two-person teams who work at the same organisation. This round of competition features 12 teams, from various organisations, including ACC, Waikato Regional Council, Hamilton City Council, Forlongs, Fonterra, Cambridge High School and Wintec. Fun was had by all involved, and it was great to see great sportsmanship alongside the competitive nature of the players.
The night saw many close matches take place with overall results of week 1 being:
ACC Te rapa Half Good Half Bad beat ACC Te rapa Killer Spinners 3-2
Forlongs Finance beat Fonterra Fonterrorists 3-2
WTTA beat Wintec 3-2
Fonterra beat Hamilton City Council (Nathan and shane) 4-1
Waikato Regional Council beat Waikato regional council Trickiest at WRC 4-1
