Night of Thrilling Exchanges

Round 3: The Battle of the 3-2s

The night kicked off with three consecutive matches that went down to the wire. In the headline clash, Crepes A Go Go whipped up just enough momentum to edge I Love Paris 3-2, proving that even the most fashionable opponents can be caught in their crêpe net. ANZ deposited a narrow 3-2 win against Topologic, while Super Standard designed their first victory of the night with a 3-2 triumph over Niwa. Three 3-2 results in one round? That's what we call balanced books!

Round 4: Decisive Victories

The second round saw more definitive results. With the return of their secret weapon Samara, I Love Paris bounced back to map out a commanding 5-0 victory over Topologic. Crepes A Go Go continued their hot streak, cooking up a 5-0 win against Super Standard, while Niwa forecast their own revival with a strong 4-1 victory over ANZ, proving their meteorological models were spot on this time.

The Return of Royalty

The night's spotlight shone brightly on I Love Paris's returning star player Samara. Making her first appearance in eight years, she showed that class is permanent with her distinctive pips playing style. Her return adds an exciting new dimension to next week's crucial matches and the upcoming finals - could she be the fashion accessory that I Love Paris needs to claim the title?

  2. I Love Paris: 23 points (Fashion-ably close!)
  3. ANZ: 12 points (Banking on a strong finish)
  4. Niwa: 10 points (Weather's looking up!)
  5. Super Standard: 8 points (Designing their comeback)

The Road Ahead

Next week's final round-robin matches will set the stage for our grand finals night. With just one point separating our top two teams, every rally could be crucial in determining who takes the number one spot heading into the finals. The battle for third and fourth is equally intense, with ANZ and Niwa separated by just two points.

Remember, after next week's matches, teams will face off in the finals based on their rankings:

  • 1st vs 2nd for the Championship
  • 3rd vs 4th for the Plate
  • 5th vs 6th for the Shield

Key questions for next week:

  • Can Crepes A Go Go maintain their wafer-thin lead?
  • Will Samara's return give I Love Paris the edge they need?
  • Can ANZ balance their books to secure third place?
  • Will Niwa's forecast show sunny skies in the finals?
  • Can Super Standard design a path to fifth place?
  • Will Topologic map their way off the bottom of the table?
