The finals are here!

The finals are upon us

After five weeks of competition, we have the finalists. In Divison One, we have the reigning champions Kitomba taking on Kingdom Music for the top prize. Last time they met in the final, Kitomba won. Will be a match to watch.

For third place playoff, we have Springload against the promoted Powerbees, their last match the other night looks promising for a good rematch, it will be a close game. For the final game in Division 1, we have Supreme taking on Xero. Supreme lost to Xero narrowly in their last game, can Supreme take the reigns and comeback from last.

In Division Two it's been a close competition between the top three teams. Last Tuesday, I said to CoreLogic Greyish and Redish this could be the final. But I was wrong. After CoreLogic Greyish took a beating of 1-4 matches and Hashbang won 4-1 over their rivals we have our finalists. Can the Hashbangers hold their trophy or will the up and comers CoreLogic Redish steal it away, another match to watch.

For third placing it seems we have an inter-company playoff. CoreLogic Greyish and Whitesh will battle it out; I'm sure there will be some rivalry and psychological warfare around the office leading into this game.

Finally, we have Storypark taking on Grabme. Can Grabme dig themselves out and end higher on the table or will Storypark keep them at arms length? Will be an interesting game.

Overall I have seen a huge improvement in every teams game. It's impressive to see players progress in their skill and tactics during the competition.

I hope you all come back to play for the next one which will be starting in late April. Can Kitomba & Hashbang remember to bring the trophies back next week, please.

I’m the primary organiser and owner of the Business Class Table Tennis Competition. I started playing table tennis around 15 years ago and have kept a strong passion for the game ever since. This competition is a reflection of that passion, and I believe it’s one of the best offerings Wellington has for table tennis enthusiasts. Outside of table tennis, I run Profile Photos, a portrait photography studio based in Wellington. At Profile Photos, we specialise in corporate headshots, personal branding, and professional portraits for individuals and businesses. With a focus on capturing each client at their best, we deliver high-quality images that make a real impact. Whether it’s for LinkedIn profiles, company websites, or promotional material, I help people present themselves in the best possible light.
